How does it work?
The A63 has an open toll system, which means that the motorway remains free for local traffic. Tariffs for HGVs are modulated according to their level of emissions. Among other things, the toll covers the cost of maintaining the motorway and its upkeep (carriageways, approaches, engineering structures, service areas, etc.).
